IDEntry reads the barcode on the back of a customer's driver's license so you don't have to type their information. It fills in Salesforce for you and builds the police report file at the end of the day. Tap a section below to open it.
The police report needs a few things the license doesn't have: the ticket #, what was sold, the weight, and the amount paid. There are two ways to get them in — the bookmark way is much faster:
The easy way (after one-time setup below):
The by-hand way (always works):
This adds a special bookmark to Safari that carries ticket information from Salesforce back into IDEntry. You only do this once per device (a helper can do it for you — it takes two minutes).
On the iPad or iPhone:
Using Google Chrome on the iPhone/iPad instead:
On a computer: in IDEntry Settings tap Copy button code. Bookmark any page (Ctrl+D), then right-click that bookmark → Edit, rename it Send to IDEntry, and paste the code into the URL box.
Scans stay on this device only. Information is sent to exactly one place: your company's Salesforce, and only when you tap Open in Salesforce. Nothing is uploaded anywhere else. Clearing the day after the LeadsOnline upload removes it from this device too.
You'll scan your own license, watch it fill in Salesforce, then erase every trace. About 5 minutes. Nothing in here can break a real record, and you can tap Close anytime — your checkmarks will wait for you. Tap a box again to un-check it.
Want to practice the sendid bookmark too? Open any real customer's saved record in Salesforce and run it — it only fills that customer's own ticket info into IDEntry, which is always safe.
…or drag & drop an image here, or paste one (Ctrl+V)
Tip: laptop webcams usually can't focus close enough for the barcode. Snap a sharp, well-lit photo of the barcode with a phone and use it here.
Once per event day: in Salesforce, open today's Roadshow Event and tap New RS Seller-2. Then copy the whole web address from the top of the browser and paste it here.
Downloads everything on this device — every scan from every day, plus your settings — into one file. Good habit: tap it at the end of each event day. If anything ever happens to this device or the app, Restore that file and you're back where you were.
Optional but recommended: a one-time-setup bookmark for Salesforce. After you save a customer, tapping it copies the ticket #, amount paid, and weights back into IDEntry automatically — no retyping. Tap the button below to copy the code, then follow the steps in ? Help → "Add the Send to IDEntry button".
All scanning and parsing happens on this device. License data is stored only in this browser's local storage and is sent only to your Salesforce org when you tap "Open in Salesforce". Nothing is uploaded to any other server.
Every update gets a new name and color — if the colored pill above changed, the update worked. Updates usually announce themselves with a yellow "Update now" banner; a green note confirms after (e.g. "Gold → Sapphire (blue)").
Check for updates looks right now and installs anything new on the spot. Fix the app is for when something seems stuck: it re-downloads the whole app fresh — your records and settings are never touched.
